Gayle began his career as a live producer for the National Black Network and ABC-TV in New York. Gale started working as a reporter and weekend anchor for WCIX-TV (now WFOR-TV) in 1984. She later left radio in 1986. During his time at WCIX-TV, Gale also worked as a reporter for other prominent broadcast networks, such as the WABC and NBC broadcast networks.
