In London, she met Dadabai Naroji, who rebelled against colonial rule. At the time, he was chairman of the British Committee of the Indian National Assembly. Soon, she also joined the Indian National Congress and secretly served as Dadabai Nauroji’s private secretary. As a Congress member, she gave several speeches in London’s Hyde Park with prominent Indian freedom fighters Lala Har Dayal and Shyamji Krishna Varma.
In February 1905, Bhikaiji Cama actively joined the Indian Autonomous Society of Varma along with Naoroji and Singh Rewabhai Rana. In 1909, the famous Indian freedom fighter Vinayak Damodar Sawakar was arrested in England by the Indian Secretary of State William Hurt Curzon Wiley. The following year, he was deported to India by boat. During the layover, he escaped police arrest by jumping into the sea through a porthole in the French city of Marseille. On the shore, he did not find Kama and the others, who were told to wait for him there because they were late. Soon, he was caught by the French police. While in custody, in such difficult circumstances, he was unable to communicate with the French authorities without Kama’s help and was sent back to British custody again. Thereafter, the British government assured the French government that Kama would surrender, but the French government refused to cooperate. Later, at the request of the French government, the British government confiscated all of Bikeji Karma’s British property. When she was expelled from France, Vladimir Lenin invited her to live in the Soviet Union. However, she rejected the offer. During that time, Bhikaiji Cama was inspired by Christabel Pankhurst and the Suffragette movement that pushed her to fight for gender equality. In 1910, speaking at a public meeting in Cairo, Egypt, she asked:
What I see here is just a representation of half the population of Egypt. Where is the other half? Where are the sons of Egypt, where are the daughters of Egypt? Where are your mother and sisters? your wife and daughter? “

A missionary named Jean Longuet suggested that she go to Spain with MP Tirumal Acharya. When the French government asked her to leave France, Karma hid at the home of Lana’s wife in Arcachon, near Bordeaux. However, in October 1914, she was arrested along with Rana in an incitement, when they took part in some incitement with the Punjab Regiment troops in Marseille at the time. In January 1915, Rana and his family were deported by the French government to the Caribbean island of Martinique. Soon, Bikeji Kama was arrested by the French government. She was released in November 1917 due to deteriorating health in prison, but she was ordered to report to a nearby police station weekly. She continued in exile in Europe until 1935, where she suffered paralysis and serious illness. On June 24, 1935, she wrote a letter from Paris to the British government through Sir Cowasji Jehangir, confirming to the British government that she was no longer involved in any incitement and wished to return to India.
