Angela Jacobs is an American anchor and journalist. She currently serves as a general assignment reporter for WFTV Eyewitness News in Orlando, Florida. Angela joined the channel in February 2013. She started her host and anchor career with WISC-TV in Wisconsin. There, Angela covered the University of Washington football team in the Rose Bowl and sometimes traveled with the team to cover the NCAA and NIT tournaments.
Angela moved to Orlando, Florida in March 2002 to become a sports anchor and reporter for WKMG-TV. There, she also hosted Sunday night’s Sports Jam. While in Orlando, Angela covered the Orlando Magic, UCF and the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. In her free time, Angela enjoys active sports, Florida’s many beaches, and her family in Central Florida.
In addition, she is an amateur photographer and her globetrotting includes an unforgettable humanitarian trip to India where she offers to help child victims of trafficking.

Her career also included stops in Madison, Wisconsin, and Meridian, Mississippi. Angela’s career has an extensive broadcasting background, including extensive work in TV sports and journalism. She has covered the Hurricanes, the Super Bowl and the World Series.
While working in Tampa Bay, Angela’s coverage has won her two regional Emmys and many other awards for her exclusive interviews with the Bay Area’s most prominent professional athletes and head coaches. In 2013, Angela was a one-week guest co-host on NBC Sports. She then contributed to Fox Sports Florida’s Rays and Lightning coverage from 2008 to 2011,
Since she was part of the WFTV news team, Angela broke the story of a woman who was sexually harassed while being treated at a local hospital, and she started legal action against the local hospital. The alleged stalker was arrested less than 24 hours after she reported a story of a woman who claimed her ex-boyfriend terrorized her in January 2015. Angela’s story also prompted local lawmakers to revisit Florida’s cyberstalking laws.
