Later, Naik claimed his speech was taken out of context. • Naik was banned from entering the UK and Canada in June 2010. • The Daily Star revealed its investigation into the July 2016 Dhaka terror attack, and terrorists involved in the brutal killing followed Zakir Naik’s Facebook page and were influenced by Naik’s speech. • In 2016, he admitted that Rahir Sheikh, who was involved in the 2006 Mumbai train bombings, was a volunteer for his organization, the Islamic Research Foundation (IRF), but did not know Rahir himself. Although Naik also claimed that Rahir was fired.
