Throughout his cricket career, Yuvraj has been discipline and fitness oriented. He practiced with the team for four hours and then individually. He worked so hard to get to where he is now, and all the obstacles that stood in his way made him give up.
Yuvraj has been keeping an eye on his health, but bad news won’t knock on the door before it arrives. However, he had to start over because he had lost a lot of lung capacity. He’s been fighting throughout the entire phase and is getting better and better. Unfortunately, Yuvraj was diagnosed with cancer, but he recovered as a hero.
In one of his interviews, he said: “Before my diagnosis, I was healthy and had my own fitness program in place. I mean, I never had any major health issues before that. “
As a cricketer, running is an important part of Yuvraj’s workout. It helps build endurance and strengthen leg muscles. Starting over, running was a major factor in speeding up his recovery.
He shared: “After recovering from cancer, I had to start all over again. There was only one form of exercise that helped me. I’ve run a lot over the past 16 to 24 months – long distances, short bursts. The best workout for me, especially since I’ve lost a lot of lung capacity. So with a lot of running I regained my agility and now I can play cricket again. “
Yuvraj runs on a treadmill and an open field of fresh air. He added, “Sometimes you want to go to the gym, but you can’t always find a good one. At times like this, you just put on a pair of headphones and go for a run. I think running is the most productive form of exercise for me.“
Back, Shoulder and Flexibility Exercises
Hip lifts and pulls are great back exercises. It helps you maintain correct posture and improves your spine strength and consistency. Also, it can help you lose belly fat.
Pull-ups, push-ups, and dumbbell raises are best for strengthening upper body muscles and shoulders. For good and early results, these exercises should be done correctly according to their instructions.
To improve flexibility, Yuvraj does stretches and another great form of exercise, foam rolling. It consists of two kinds of equipment, foam roller and theracane. It works on all your body muscles and is a very good exercise to make your body more flexible and flexible.

Yuvraj never needed to cut back on food before he got cancer. He is a healthy lad. After the diagnosis, he had to take some precautions. Here’s what he did – “After coming back from therapy, I went to France for a few months of oxygen training. There I learned a lot about diet and how to lose weight and stay in shape.
So I just focused on eating good quality carbs and more protein, substituting brown rice for regular rice and gluten free atta instead of wheat roasts. These are the things that help me maintain a certain weight. Sometimes you have to make sacrifices to get back where you were. I still enjoy overeating here and there. Mainly my diet is good. “
Yuvraj eats a light breakfast, some cereal, milk, eggs, toast or omelet, fruit and juice. He likes to eat paraantha once in a while, but not every day.
His lunch and dinner consist of a rich, nutritious, balanced diet with plenty of protein and carbohydrates. Salad, curds, 2-3 healthy vegetables, rice and grilled meats make up his meal.
