Will we see Lady Deathstrike in the MCU?
When it comes to taking advantage of great characters and villains just to dump them in the same movie, the MCU didn’t write the book. Back in X-Men 2, a villain we never saw again was brought out to play. Sounds like the woman playing her, Kelly Hu, would love to bring Ms. Deathstrike back into the MCU, which would be awesome because by all reports, the X-Men are still on the way, although it’s not certain who will play Wolverine at this point. A lot of fans would probably like to see Logan and Yuriko shake hands again, especially since in the comics, Lady Death Strike is a real lethal person who doesn’t get enough screentime or lines in X2. But the best hope is that if she does manage to make it into the MCU, she’ll have more to say, because she won’t be held back by the man who temporarily put Wolverine under his thumb, Stryker. Just imagine the uninhibited Lady Death Strike, capable of shredding anything or anyone in her way.
It’s interesting to hear that Kelly Hu wants to play the role again because she does have what could be called the right look take back the role, but it will be interesting to see what happens with that desire. Hu is now in her early 50s, and if she can really show up, she may be an old version of Yuriko, or use what many people say is outdated software. It’s important to note that she’s been in this role before, so it’s not an easy task to think she can do it again. But this time more backstory may be provided, perhaps in a limited series on Disney+, or in a movie dealing with the X-Men or related groups. Yuriko’s history with Logan is well known to many fans, and there’s even hope that it will rejoin Victor Creed, aka Sabretooth, in a fascinating way.
In the comics, the X-Weapon used to be a big deal, and it can be seen that the program produced more than one talented soldier who was capable of being something other than a government weapon. Some of you may recall that the Hulk appeared alongside Wolverine, Sabre-toothed Tiger, Red Omega, Goddess of the Dead, and Deadpool in the Hulk vs. It’s unlikely to be a classic, as it’s both animated and brings together characters not currently seen on screen, but it’ll be fun. Maybe putting someone younger in the role of Wolverine would make a story like this work, but it’s fair to assume that something like this won’t be on the big or small screen anytime soon because it’s already done. More than one director and/or producer has made it clear that they don’t want to stick to the manga entirely, which means that anything we see in a manga or animated film at this time may not be considered source material, unless for related elements, It must be divided.
Whatever happens, it’s great to see Ms. Deathstrike head to the MCU for her service Another big villain It has enough depth, finesse and ferocity to last more than one appearance. It’s great to see villains that can degenerate and filthy make their way into the MCU, because it’s more fun to see heroes against villains who don’t fall as easily. In terms of sheer tenacity and skill, Yuriko has her weaknesses, having lost more than once in her criminal career, but she’s not a weak person, and given her ability to fight alongside Wolverine, she’s not. Afraid to get in a dirty scrap.
With the MCU’s recent development in the multiverse and time travel, it’s fair to assume that Kelly Hu could make it into the MCU without any de-aging software, since this could be a version of her character from a different era. As long as she’s allowed into the MCU, that’s what a lot of fans will care about. Of course, it would also be great to see her as a cybernetically enhanced killer. Hopefully Kelly has a chance, but we’ll have to wait and see what happens in the days and months ahead.
