Will Baby Yoda choose The Mandalorian over Luke?

If you’ve watched the final episode of The Book of Boba Fett, you’ll have a good idea of Baby Yoda training with his new owner, Luke Skywalker. So far, he’s learning how to jump, how to dodge shock waves, and use force. This is the foundation of being a Jedi, and our little one is taking these steps to become an official Jedi. The training seemed to be going well until an image of his adoptive father appeared with a gift. Boy, I have to say, watching these scenes reminds me that George Lucas doesn’t actually let his characters actually say everything they feel. Even if they’re wearing a helmet, you can tell how they’re feeling by looking at them. For the record, I’m pointing out the horrific scene in the re-edited Return of the Jedi. You know, when Darth Vader yelled that infamous “NO!!!!” right before pushing Darth Sidious to his death. Oh my sweet potato fries, so it’s hard to appreciate the rest of the movie. You know you feel the same way about it. We all love George Lucas, but please, why did you ruin such a great scene? Fortunately, the directors behind The Mandalorian remember the old ways and know how to express Mando’s emotions behind the helmet. A big part of that is because of his interactions with his real name Baby Yoda or Grogu.
Just out of curiosity, how many people actually call him Grog? We knew it was his real name, but we didn’t know it until season two. I really don’t think a lot of fans really care because Baby Yoda is so much better. You know, because he’s a baby and he looks like Master Yoda. What else can you call him? Absolutely not. This little guy is Star Wars’ new mascot, and will likely remain one for years to come. I really don’t see how they can make anything cuter than this. But Baby Yoda just can’t be cute, he needs to learn something. Enough to make him a full-fledged Jedi. Speaking of which, the final episode of The Book of Boba Fett ends with Luke giving Baby Yoda a choice: he can take the gift that Mando left him, or the gift that Luke gave him. Mando forged some chainmail for him out of Beskar, which looks cool. As for Luke, he actually had Yoda’s green lightsaber ready for him.
So, Baby Yoda is now faced with a very heartbreaking choice that could change everything. And I’ll say right off the bat, I think we all know where it’s going, thanks to the sequel trilogy. Luke tells his new student that if he accepts Besca chain mail, then he can go back to The Mandalorian. As touching as it sounds, the downside is that he will have to give up Jedi training and never return to Luke. Ouch. This is too low, Luke. But if little Yoda does take on adult Yoda’s lightsaber, he’ll be Luke’s first pupil in his growing Jedi temple. Oh, and he’ll never see The Mandalorian again. Gosh, Luke. Just seeing that sad, heartbreaking look on Baby Yoda’s face is enough to break your heart into a thousand pieces. We can see that he is contradictory and whatever choices he makes will have a big impact on all characters. do you know? He didn’t even have to speak. See the difference, George? Oh, I know you will. Ok, so I know The Book of Boba Fett briefly forgot that it was a Boba Fett show. But honestly, isn’t this the perfect setting for The Mandalorian Season 3? When Mando helps Boba finish, I’m sure he’ll turn his attention to the little guy. The question is, who will Baby Yoda choose?
This is the fabled between Luke Skywalker (whose teacher would allow him to be his first pupil) and The Mandalorian (the one who rescued him from a terrible fate and became his surrogate father) difficult choice between. Well, if Star Wars never made you cry before, The Mandalorian definitely got the waterworks going. If not, then your blood is as cold as ice. But wait, I think we’re all as conflicted as Baby Yoda about this choice presented to him. Either Luke Skywalker or The Mandalorian. Who will he choose? OK, back to what I called the sequel trilogy. We all know what will happen to Luke Skywalker and his Jedi Academy. To put it lightly, it didn’t last long. Again, we all know why, and that’s because his crazy nephew hooligan destroyed the temple, not to mention he took a few of his students. Well, to be fair, it’s not entirely Ben Solo’s fault. Luke did try to stab him with his lightsaber, but at least he held back. That didn’t stop Ben from trying to kill him and destroy his temple. By the way, how many students did he kill? Maybe The Last Jedi should have touched on this more, but I assure you, Baby Yoda is not among the dead.
In fact, there’s a good chance he’s not even there. After seeing the options Luke gave him, I had a strong feeling that Baby Yoda decided to stay with Mando. Because if he doesn’t, it means he’s with him when his nephew goes rogue and kills his classmates. Well, on the one hand I refuse to believe that Baby Yoda died at the hands of Kylo Ren. I mean, is it safe to assume our little green hero can become stronger than Kylo Ren? Heck, maybe these two even met when young Ben Solo joined Luke’s temple? That might happen, unless he decides to leave the temple and be with Mando again. Personally I think Baby Yoda will eventually decide to be with Mando. However, I want to see what happens if he stays with Luke. Anything can happen, and no matter what choices he makes, it affects all of these characters in ways we didn’t expect.
