Why ‘Toy Story’ shouldn’t get the live-action movie treatment
π§πβ‘
A sort of Live Action/CGI Hybrid This could be a good compromise for a movie like Toy Story, where the alleged live-action Toy Story artwork is enough to send a chill down anyone’s back because it looks a little creepy . Also, it would make more sense to incorporate CGI into a live-action film, as making the toys look too realistic could turn a lot of people off since these are the children’s toys being shown. There’s also the idea that Toy Story might not even need a live-action remake, since the story has become so widely accepted and it’s grown enough over the years that people don’t really think about going back to it. But as anyone can guess, when it comes to remakes and reboots, there’s always going to be someone wondering what it would be like to do this, that way, or something else, or what it would be like to turn Toy Story into a live-action movie.
Hopefully anyone asking the question has considered these photos, how weird it would be if a child’s toy looked like it could be brought back to life at any moment. There have been short films and cartoons made using the idea of ββToy Story and of course Buzz Lightyear does have his own cartoons but animation and Toy Story tend to go well together and it feels like people shouldn’t be rocking this and maybe they should Be content with what is given. It’s only going to happen for so long, though, because anyone should be able to guess that an idea might come along that will convince someone at Pixar that it should happen, and that it should be one of the next big live-action movie projects.
Another thing to consider is the condition of the Sid toys and what kind of nightmare they might bring if they were put into a live-action movie. It’s scary enough for some kids to see what’s going on in an animated movie because Sid is especially nasty about some of his toys, but in real life, it’s going to be scary, and it’s likely that people will be talking about it for a while. Keeping Toy Story animated sounds like the best move, even if it doesn’t happen in the future, because when making a live-action movie where the toy does look like a live-action movie, there’s bound to be someone saying “I can do it” “It’s a little too realistic.
This is definitely one of those times when opinions will vary as some may continue to say it’s not a problem, others should stop being overly sensitive to things that aren’t even a problem, and others may say it’s just too creepy a children’s movie. The last sentence is kind of funny, because those of us who grew up in the 70s and 80s saw some really scary stuff on TV as kids for our entertainment. Plus, we’re also the ones who still grow up with some of the most brutal fairy tales and tales handed down since time immemorial, so it’s fair to say that what we’re exposed to, not what we’re talking about today tames. Still, the idea persists, as creating a live-action Toy Story still feels like something that should be left alone, even if it likely won’t be left alone forever.
The live-action ideas that are currently in the mix and may not be around for a while are undoubtedly plentiful because they have been successful enough that the studio thought it might be sustainable and might actually be what people want. There are indeed a few The animation effect of the live-action movie was not bad, but it generally focused on the original work, and only changed it according to the needs of the story to make some foreshadowing. Even so, one wonders if these additions need to be added, or if they can be excluded. The live-action look usually throws The reality of animated characters It’s a relief, and it’s easy to think that some people wouldn’t expect their favorite characters to look like once brought to life in this way. As many know, creatures look very different from animated individuals, so Toy Story is probably best off with a hybrid approach to keep fans entertained and avoid making the mistake of needing everything to see like Like a reality show. Just imagine what Slinky-Dog would be like, gah.
