It can be said that the Joker is Batman’s greatest opponent. The DC villain, created by Bill Finger and Jerry Robinson, was a huge hit when it was introduced in the first Batman comic in 1940. There’s a lot of backstory on “The Dark Clown Prince”; however, it’s undeniable that the Joker is a mentally unstable murderous psychopath. After his introduction, the Joker has been key in Batman lore, both in comics, cartoons and movies.Since Heath Ledger’s signature turn as a DC villain, the Joker’s status in the DC universe has risen considerably, with his appearance in Suicide Squad, Gotham, Zach Hind’s Justice League, Even popular with Harley Quinn Birds of Prey (and the miraculous liberation of a Harley Quinn). He even has his own origin story, and the film was nominated for 12 Oscars. A psychiatrist who uses his medical expertise and oddly fixed way to learn about Batman’s identity could make for a fascinating game of cat and mouse.

Plus, it hurts the world of Gotham because the presence of new characters doesn’t allow for new stories to be told and limits an otherwise diverse and rich cast to a handful of characters.Just like Marvel was able to shine with B-level characters such as Guardians of the Galaxy, Shang Chi, Even Iron Man, fans were excited to open the universe to new characters, which could easily help the DC universe expand. The Joker doesn’t need to stay away from Batman forever, but the two antagonists should be separated for a long time.
