Why is Sean in the All-American cast? Season 3 of All American American hits Netflix on Tuesday, July 27, and fans of the series noticed the lack of Sean Scott from the cast. Read on to find out what happened to Sean and who actor Jay Reeves is.
Who is Sean in America?
All American’s Shawn Scott grew up with Spencer and Coop. His older brother Brandon was part of a gang and taught Sean how to steal for him from a young age.
After Sean’s brother is murdered by a gang member, Sean approaches Tyrone Morris, who takes advantage of the teenager’s grief and convinces him to join the gang.

Sean is also Maya’s father, and her mother ran away shortly after her birth, leaving Sean to care for her alone.
The teenager starts selling drugs to make money to care for his daughter, but Spencer and Koop manage to make him understand that he can live a better life for himself.
Sean decides to leave Crenshaw and settle with Maya at his cousin’s house in Louisiana, but their happy ending ends up being too good to be true.
Just as he returned to his apartment, dazedly telling Koop over the phone how excited he was to have a fresh start, Sean was shot in the chest by a rival gang member.
In Episode 9 of Season 1, Shawn left the All American cast entirely.

On Reddit, fans discussed what would have happened if Sean hadn’t been killed.

Who is Jay Reeves who plays Sean?
Jay Reeves is a New Jersey-based actor, artist, and producer.

Growing up, Reeves was an athlete.According to his Introduction to IMDbhe was ranked 100th among juniors in the West region.
After playing a few games at Pasadena City College, Reeves left the team and college to pursue an acting career.
Feeding himself was an even bigger challenge, and Reeves became homeless.
Eventually, a car accident brought Reeves back home, where he actively pursued an acting career.
The actor has starred in Listen (2017), Throwback Holiday (2018) and The Tax Collector (2020). In 2020, he is the main character in the Disney+ movie “Safety.”
Last year, Reeves entered the music scene as emcee and producer, releasing his single South Central.
