The Argentine youngster came to prominence in a stunning breakout tournament earlier this year. We profile promising tennis talents in more detail, including coaching Juan Manuel Serendolo.
The 19-year-old started the year at No. 341 in the world, but he now finds himself in the top 100 and is close to qualifying for the Intesa Sanpaolo Next Gen ATP Finals in Milan next month.
The eight best players under the age of 21 with the most points this season will play this season.
Cerundolo is currently 8th on the trip to Milan and could compete with the likes of Jannik Sinner, Felix Auger-Aliassime, Carlos Alcaraz, Sebastian Korda, Lorenzo Musetti, Brandon Nakashima and Jenson Brooksby.

In February, Serendolo announced his ATP Tour debut in his hometown.
After qualifying at the ATP 250 clay-court event in Cordoba, Cerundolo won eight matches and defeated world number 47 Albert Ramos-Vinolas in the three-set final.
Before that tournament, Cerundolo’s world ranking was 335, but after his heroic performance, his world ranking rose to 181.
The teenager rose to No. 151 in the ATP rankings in April with a victory at the ATP Challenger event in Rome.
The clay specialist lost the final qualifying round as he tried to reach the French Open and his first Grand Slam.

He also lost in the first round of the Wimbledon qualifying round.
Cerundolo ended a six-game losing streak from June to August and appeared in another ATP Challenger final, but he lost the championship in Meerbusch, Germany.
He won back-to-back Clay Challenge titles in September, which saw him climb to 105th in the world.
In the semifinals last week in his hometown of Buenos Aires, Cerundolo made the top 100 for the first time in his career.
The southpaw plays with a two-handed backhand and is currently ranked a career-high No. 94 in the world.
Cerundolo finished ninth in the junior rankings after winning four ITF Junior Tour men’s singles titles in 2017 (ATP Tour).

Juan Manuel Serendolo was coached by his father, Alejandro, who played professionally in the 1980s and almost made it to the top 300 in the world. His older brother Francisco is also on the ATP Tour.
Juan Manuel Cerundolo started playing tennis at his parents’ academy at the age of three. His mother, Maria Luz, is a sports psychologist.
Cerundolo needs a strong finish to the season as his compatriot Sebastian Baez hunts him down for the final qualifying spot for the Milan battle.
