Lloyd George Muirhead Harris was born on February 24, 1997 in Cape Town, South Africa.
He is currently ranked No. 46 in the ATP World Ranking, which he achieved in August 2021.
Harris is South Africa’s No. 1 player and has won three ATP Challenger singles titles so far in his career.
After the US Open, he will lead a strong South African team in the Davis Cup World Group II match against Venezuela.

The rising tennis star has booked his first Grand Slam quarterfinal at this week’s US Open.
The 24-year-old defeated American Reilly Opelka 6-7, 6-4, 6-1, 6-3 in the round of 16.
He now faces fourth seed Alexander Zverev in the quarterfinals.

Biance Van Zyl is believed to have been a junior tennis player.
However, she never became a professional.
Van Zyl is considered to be South African as well as Cape Town.

Harris was coached by Norman McCarthy as a child.
In 2012, he joined the Anthony Harris Tennis Academy and has been coached by Anthony Harris ever since.
Although they have the same surname, they are not related by blood.
Lloyd Harris is also coached by former player Xavier Mallis, who has helped fine-tune the South African’s skills.
“Xavier has had a huge impact on the team since he joined. He has a lot of experience and I can learn a lot from him,” Harris Say.
“He’s been in this situation many times and is obviously a phenomenal player. Now he can also help me transition to being a better player.”
