Bianca Andreescu announces split with coach
Tuesday, June 8, Bianca Andreescu It was announced that she had broken up with the coach.
The world number seven recently missed 15 months of tennis with a knee injury.
She dropped out of the French Open in the first week, losing to Slovenia’s Tamara Zidancek 6-7(1) 7-6(2) 9-7.

Andreeescu’s former coach was Sylvain Bruneau.
They worked together for four years, and Bruno helped Andreescu to three wins in 2019, including the U.S. Open.
Bruno is a former Canada Confederations Cup captain. He famously delivered a pep talk during the timeout that headlined Andreescu’s first championship win at Indian Wells.

Bruno started his coaching career with various clubs in Canada.
He joined a junior program before coming to the attention of the Quebec Tennis Association and later the Canadian Tennis Association.
In addition to being the Canada Confederations Cup captain, Bruno is also the head coach of the Canadian women’s national team, which includes Eugenie Bouchard.
