Her parents are Harvey Cushing and Kathryn Stone, professors of surgery at Johns Hopkins, Harvard and Yale.
Paley grew up in Brookline, Massachusetts, and along with her sisters was known as the “the fabulous cushing sisters“.

American actress Regina Schneider plays Babe Paley in the 2021 series.
Schneider’s previous work includes Frasier, The Agency, Rescue Me, The Blacklist, and 2020’s God Friended Me.
Currently, she only has one feature film credit, and that is the move highlands (2005), starring Glenn Close and Elizabeth Banks.
But she’s not the only one playing Babe Paley.
