Who is Bob Carpenter?
Bob Carpenter is a longtime sports commentator who currently provides live TV announcer for the Washington Nationals on MASN.
Carpenter previously spent 16 seasons as a baseball announcer for ESPN and also served as a team announcer for the New York Mets, Minnesota Twins and Texas Rangers.

In 1984, Carpenter developed his own baseball scorebook.
He later called it “Bob Carpenter’s scorebook,” and it is now used by many college, major and minor league announcers.
Bob regularly shares pictures of his scorecard on social media and retweets it to countless others who also follow his scorebook.

Lately, people have been asking “Where’s Bob Carpenter?”
The Nationals announcer was mysteriously absent from the broadcast, replaced by Dan Colco and Justin Maxwell.
People are worried and want to know where the announcer is.

Thankfully, Carpenter has nothing serious and is actually on vacation.
On June 3, it was announced that Bob would be taking five games off to celebrate his wife’s birthday.
However, some have questioned this reasoning.
Now that’s unusual.
