Kimi Raikkonen’s retirement from Formula 1 after the 2021 Abu Dhabi Grand Prix has left a string of iconic moments behind him, but when has he eaten ice cream at a race? How did he do that?

When did Kimi Raikkonen eat ice cream?
The Finnish driver’s iconic moment was repeated at the 2009 Malaysian Grand Prix.

The next race is the Malaysian Grand Prix in Sepang.
Raikkonen was ninth, although he started in seventh due to penalties for others.
He was the first to switch from mid to full wet as the rains in Sepang increased, but the gamble failed as the rain didn’t get heavier.
Raikkonen is hungry
On lap 33, the race was stopped due to monsoon weather affecting the track.
During the red flag suspension, Raikkonen changed out of his race suit and spent some time in Ferrari hospitality.

The race did not restart and Raikkonen was 14th and last, nearly 2:30 behind race winner Button.
It was the last F1 race to be dropped before half-time ahead of the 2021 Belgian Grand Prix.
Half a point for the fifth time, the Spa knockout in August was the sixth in more than 1,000 World Championship Grand Prix races.
