Who knew what all audiences really wanted was a battle royale-style series based on a Korean kids game? Netflix’s new series Squid Game is taking the world by storm. We take a closer look at Player 069 in The Squid Game and introduce actor Kim Yoon-tae.

What is the premise of the squid game?
Netflix’s Squid Game is actually a battle royale-style mortal fight, but with a playground game for kids. 456 people were invited to the squid game; they were all in debt and looking for a way out. Little did they know, however, that in order to win the huge cash prize (45.6 billion won), they would have to risk their lives.
Who is player 069 of Squid Game?
Player number 069 in Squid Name has one of the most heartbreaking storylines in the entire series. He’s Player 070’s husband, and we first meet him in Episode 4, when Player 219 asks Player 069 to join his team in a tug-of-war. However, 069 stood by his wife and said he couldn’t leave her to join the other side.
Then we see Player 069 again in Game 4 of Squid Games. Contestants must choose one person to be paired with. Little did they know, however, that they would be playing their sidekicks at the marbles, and only one of them would survive.
069 and 070 choose each other, which means that a couple will be eliminated. After witnessing the death of his wife, 069 chose to stop playing games and committed suicide.

Who is actor Kim Yoon-tae?
