What is Nick Mayhew’s disability?
The sprinter was born in Fairfax, Virginia, and grew up in Gainesville.
He is 25 years old.
Nick Mayhew was born with cerebral palsy following an in utero stroke.

Mayhugh said: “My doctors and family were unaware of the numbness and side effects I was experiencing until we later learned it was the result of a stroke in the womb.
“In 2010, I had a sudden seizure that bit both sides of my tongue and was rushed to the hospital for tests and scans, which ended up with a dead spot on the right side of my brain. All spots from symptoms I experienced early in my childhood Start connecting.
“I finally got an explanation for my normalcy. The stroke caused a dead spot, resulting in a lack of sensation, movement and sensation in my left arm, hand and leg. That’s when I was officially diagnosed with cerebral palsy.”
Nick had a successful four-year football career at Radford University but switched allegiance to the 2020 Tokyo Paralympic Games.
