Wordle meets music-themed parody game
Byrdle is a chorus music challenge game inspired by Wordle, a web-based word game that took social media by storm after launching in October 2021 and now has around 2.5 million daily players.
While Wordle has a different vocabulary for its daily challenges, Byrdle focuses on classical and choral music terms.
For example, the previous word in the game is “choir”, which means an organized group of singers, while the second word in the game is “motet”, which refers to a small piece of sacred choral music.
On the app’s website, Byrdle is described as mimicking word and “Just for fun.”
Byrdle launches January 12, 2022 7,000 players On its second day alone, the game caused a stir in the music world.
How to Play Birdle
Birdle is an everyday word guessing game that can be played online and does not require users to download an app.
The goal of the game is to use a series of hints to guess the mysterious five-letter word associated with choral music called “byrdle”.
Simply press the Enter button to submit your five-letter guess, and after each turn, the color of the tile changes to reflect how close your guess is to the mystery word.
If any of your letters are highlighted green, you have the right letter in the right place.
A yellow letter means the letter is in the word but in the wrong place.
Finally, if any letters are highlighted in grey, they are not included anywhere in the secret word.
Similar to Wordle, Byrdle offers a new word puzzle every day, and users have six attempts to guess the mystery word in a 24-hour period.
Also in true Wordle style, Byrdle players continue to share their cryptic green, yellow and grey emoji patterns on the Twitter timeline to represent their wordplay results.
