Tottenham’s Troy Parrott makes first senior league loan

Troy Parrott, the Tottenham striker on loan at Championship club Millwall, finally made his first league start last night.
Gary Rowett’s side drew 1-1 at home to Reading as the 18-year-old Irish hitman lasted 64 minutes.
according to News in the denLovett has been impressed with the performance of the teenager, who was injured at the start of his loan spell.

“He would have wanted to stay, but what we couldn’t do was get another striker injured,” Lovett said.
“I think he’s playing well, he’s smart. For an 18-year-old player [full] He performed well in his league debut.
“He showed his intelligence, he has a very good vision. His link plays well. We need to keep him fit because he is a great player.”
Parrott has played senior football before, representing Ireland in friendlies, Millwall in the EFL Cup and as a substitute for Spurs.

A first league start was a huge step on the road back to fitness and one that impressed Mourinho.
There’s a lot to be excited about in Parrott, but he’ll need to be online regularly in the EFL to get a chance to showcase what he can do with Spurs.
Millwall’s first goal will be his monkey, and whenever it arrives, he is likely to make up for lost time after an early injury hit in south London.
