Arsenal duo Nicolas Pepe and Willian have come under fire at times this season – and rightly so.
but Tony Cascarino era The winger played an important role in yesterday’s 3-1 win over Leicester City.
William had two assists and Pepe scored the third to seal the victory at the King Power Stadium.
There are still some veiled criticisms of the two men there. Claiming that William’s gameplay is “easy”, while Pepe plays like a teenager.

“After yesterday’s win at Leicester, things looked much better this morning, with a fantastic game from two players who have been underperforming for most of the season,” Cascarino wrote.
“What amazes me is that Nicolas Pepe is 25 years old. He played like a teenager, blunt, childish and a bad decision maker. But yesterday we saw that he can be a real player.
“People have more confidence in him, especially his willingness to accept others. Again, Willian was one of the most disappointing signings of the season, but against Leicester he really shined .
“His style of play is simple – passing and moving – but he didn’t really do it until yesterday. The club desperately needs to win the Europa League and a fully rejuvenated Willian can be a key player in that pursuit.”

Mikel Arteta needs to fight for a place, and perhaps the performance of the club’s young players has inspired Pepe and Willian to improve.
The next thing Arsenal fans and Arteta need to see from this duo is consistency.
A flash in the pan is useless – but it was an afternoon of hope.
Arsenal face Olympiacos in the Europa League round of 16 and, as Cascarino said, the draw means a lot to their season.
