Three Spurs players could profit if Nagelsman becomes manager, including 20-year-old rising star
Jose Mourinho’s tenure at Tottenham is in jeopardy and Julian Nagelsmann will be his successor, According to The Telegraph.
Tottenham chairman Daniel Levy has made Leipzig’s highly-regarded coach a top target to succeed Jose Mourinho if the Portuguese coach fails to turn around the team’s fortunes, the report said.
The Daily Telegraph says the Spurs boss has 12 “crucial” days to turn around Tottenham’s season. The north London club will then face Wolfsberg in the Europa League and Burnley, Fulham and Crystal Palace in the Premier League.
If Mourinho fails and Nagelsmann is lured by Leipzig, we think the following three Spurs players could benefit from the decision.

Ryan Sessegnon
One player who will not miss Mourinho is Ryan Sessegnon.
The 20-year-old, once regarded as one of the “golden boys” of English football, has a bright future since signing from Fulham in 2019.
His first few months at Tottenham were hampered by injuries. The rest of Sessegnon was ignored by Mourinho, who has a poor record in promoting young players.
In desperation, Sessegnon joined the flow of young British talent to Germany. He is on loan at Hoffenheim in the Bundesliga this season.
Sessegnon has already made more career appearances at Hoffenheim than Tottenham. He even played against Nagelsmann’s Leipzig last year.
If the Germans do take over, Sessegnon will hope to undergo the same transformation as Angelino.

Jaffet Tanganga
Nagelsman has a proven track record of turning relatively unknown numbers into world-class players.
Dayot Upamecano is just one example. When he arrived from Leipzig’s sister club Red Bull Salzburg four years ago, he was full of hope but little else.
Fast forward to today, and Upamecano is one of the most famous players on the planet.
Japhet Tanganga could be Nagelsmann’s next development.
The Spurs young defender has yet to really find his footing in the first team, but has shown a glimpse of why he deserves to be there.
Tanganga just needs the right guidance and setup to push him to the next level.
Nagelsman is certainly that kind of mentor. Not only that, but his penchant for full-backs fits perfectly with Tanganga’s skills – just like Sessegnon.

Dele Ali
If the Spurs are to start again under Nagelsman, Dele Alli should also get a clean roster.
Not long ago, Alli was a regular in the England squad and a major focus for Tottenham.
Ali’s international standing has disintegrated, as has his status at club level.
He has started just once in the Premier League this season and just six times in all competitions.
A new Nagelsman era could be Ali’s awakening. Such a talented player slept in the shadows for too much time.
