There is a link between the event horizon and predators

Finding possible connections between one movie and another is sometimes entertaining, especially if the odds of them being in the same universe are slim. The Event Horizon and Predator may be a little further apart in time, but it’s possible they might be closer than one might think. One has to remember that Lawrence Fishburne managed to find himself in both films, as he played Captain Miller in Event Horizon and Noland in Predator. Some people will be happy to say that since the rest of the ship in the EH disappeared into the black hole, Miller was taken to hell or something like that by the mad and shapeshifting Dr. Will, there’s no connection, but interesting things to come to connect the two. Miller was not mentioned by name, and the ship is known to have transported itself to the same galaxy inhabited by the predators, and then possibly crashed on the world where the other captives were discarded. It’s a stretch, that’s for sure, but it’s still an interesting theory.
The fact is not mentioned captain miller name, if there is, then it’s so brief that a lot of people might miss it. But given this tidbit, there’s an idea that he has to be very skilled to survive in the wilds of alien planets, which means he knows how to hide, how to craft weapons, and, if possible, how to kill. Some people might want to laugh, thinking it’s absurd that Miller couldn’t have survived the crash that caused the event horizon to fall to the planet’s surface. But given that the ship is technically alive, it’s safe to assume that it might have done anything to protect itself, meaning Miller might still have a chance if he hadn’t killed him first.
Most people are content to think that Miller and Will are killed when they are sucked into a black hole at the end of the movie, but considering that a pause of doubt works even in the wildest circumstances, it’s fair to think maybe, just maybe, Miller finds a way to survive and finds himself abandoned on an alien world, but his mind is incomplete. When he revealed himself to other soldiers, he had been talking to someone for a while, even though that person was always on his mind. Perhaps Miller was tortured to the point of madness by Will and the ship, shattered in some way, a dangerous and elusive man. Maybe Dr. Will ended up dying with the ship, allowing Miller to hear the voice in his head, maybe even Dr. Will’s. There are a lot of possibilities for this theory and a lot of things have to be just right to make it possible but the truth is it’s still an interesting theory as it combines two films that didn’t get much respect but did gain after a while ardent followers.
Event Horizonn even made a brief appearance as part of the wreckage Junk Planet among Soldiers, so there are some Easter eggs in some movies that mean something to others. But the biggest leap between the EH and the Predator is the journey to the black hole. Honestly, it’s not an impossible distance to cross, because black holes are used as transportation in some movies, no matter what physicists want to say. The point of fiction is that anything is possible if one knows how to write it, make it sound appealing to the reader, and then transfer that idea to the screen. Maybe EH uses a channel similar to Bifrost in Thor, and something can leave the channel through an unknown route in the universe. There will be a lot of freedom with all kinds of material and general ideas, but it still feels like something that could serve as a story.
Link one movie to another using anything common ground This can be found interesting because with this approach one can string together many different movies that could create an entire universe over time. The fact that we never knew Captain Miller’s name is a big reason why this is at least somewhat possible, but if it could happen, writing the rest of the story would no doubt prove to be interesting. It won’t necessarily be a hit with anyone, but as a storyteller, it’s still fun to think about.
