When it comes to making a mess of TV, Mona Scott-Young might as well have a cup. What started out as a sneak peek into the life of rapper Jim Jones turned into a reality show that captured the attention of a largely African-American audience. Through the show, viewers experience it all as the lives of the actors play out on the screen. 1. Cardi B made rapid progress on DJ Self by going mainstream

The Queen and King of the Frostlands took care of their business wholeheartedly, raised many children, and seemed pretty solid save for a reshuffle or two. When Kirk’s flirtatious ways began to play out on screen, things got pretty frosty in Frostland. At the climax of it all, Jasmine was in the picture, dashing any hopes we had of Rashida and Kirk being the perfect couple. Unlike before, Kirk has ended his marriage and a child is involved. When this happened, Rashida had had enough and the two separated. Kirk has to figure out his co-parenting with Jasmine, while Rashida takes the time to warm up to the idea of a growing family. Little Guanyin eventually meets his siblings, but before that, Rashida gives Jasmine, who has been trying to apologize, some of her thoughts.
3. Safaree brazenly cheated on Erica Mena
The love story between Safaree and Erica Mena is just an example of being careful with your wishes because it might come true. For a long time, Safaree cared about Erica’s case, wanted to hang out with her, and called her the child’s mother. Although she didn’t entertain him at first, Erica eventually gave in and the two had a lavish VH1 wedding. In the eyes of Erica and the public, Safaree is the greatest husband in the world. Unfortunately, this didn’t last long. One of the things Safaree wants Erica to do is give birth to his baby, the last blow he needs to change his mind. The workload of taking care of the children is too much, and Erica wants him to join. Over time, she told him again the news they were expecting, and Safari lost it. He becomes a shadow of his former self, convincing Erica that she has been tricked. Heartbroken Erica files for divorce. The couple has since adopted a co-parenting approach.
4. Peter Gunz’s life was a series of plot twists
No one has ever provided so much entertainment on TV as Peter Gunz. Sadly, his life plays out in the public eye. Gunz’s love life roller coaster is a minority for every viewer and woman involved. When we met Amina Buddafly, she was a talented artist with a soothing voice, just working with Gunz. Later, the public and Peter’s long-term relationship learned that he was actually married to Amina. What follows is a series of back-and-forth moments between the trio, with Peter in between. Women hated each other, then tried to reform themselves and hated each other even more. At the climax of it all, Amina got pregnant by Gunz, got rid of the baby, and when she learned Tara was pregnant, got pregnant again! Cardi B took it into account when he called out Gunz in a reunion. Her reaction to Gunz saying he paid rent for two women gave us a meme-worthy moment, and also let him know that he made Amina and Tara look stupid on TV.
5. Stevie J finally meets his opponent, Faith Evans
Wild, wild Stevie can’t be tied down for no reason. From the moment we met him, he made it clear that he was as much about the ladies as his peers in the squad. Boy, he’s dribbling! Mimi keeps trying to get Stevie to do the right thing, but he’s obsessed with getting along with every girl he works with. Just as Peter Gunz goes back and forth with Amina and Tara, Stevie plays with Joseline and Mimi until the latter calls it quits.When his Puerto Rican princess Joseline decided to end love and hip hop, Stevie stayed in the game, and it took the Panama goddess Estelita a minute to check in. He’s not done, though, of pitting his artists against each other. After years of being a bachelor who could do whatever he wanted, Stevie finally settled down with Faith Evans, whom he had known for a long time. Things were going well in the Stevie-Evans camp until word got out that things weren’t going well. After nearly three years together, Stevie filed for divorce from Evans, who is reportedly seeking spousal support.Faith Evans not on board.
