Tyler Sheridan’s saga of the West 1883 returned to the screen yesterday, January 30 with its sixth episode, and it didn’t disappoint. When we see Noemi aka Gratiela Brancusidi showing some affection for Thomas played by LaMonica Garrett.Viewers of the show can’t help but wonder What happens to these two characters.

The developing relationship between Noemi and Thomas in 1883
Thomas was a former slave who found out his master was dead as a child. He took this opportunity to be free. Thomas and Shia meet Noemi, a Romanian gypsy woman who recently lost her husband to bandits, in the third episode, titled “The River.”Noemi knew that without her husband, she and her two children would not be able to survive on the road
Noemi thinks the only way she can survive is to find another husband, so she proposes to Shia. He declined, but said he and Thomas would help her travel. Thomas then approaches Noemi and introduces himself, he encourages her and teaches her road skills while helping Shea retrieve Noemi’s things from the thief.
In “Crossroads”. Noemi brings Thomas hot food while watching the camp at night. She tries to talk to him and explain how grateful she is to him, but Thomas warns her that he can’t solve her problem. Thomas may not show any emotion, but he’s clearly moved by Noemi, and in the next scene we see him helping her drive her wagon across the river.
Because Shay’s trip to Oregon was his last adventure, many fans assumed Thomas would want to find a new purpose in life. Many fans suggested he could settle down with Noemi and start a family. It’s also been hinted at, because in a recent episode, he bought the Neomi mirror out of goodwill.
1883 Episode 6 Plot Exploration
Thomas took some of Noemi’s late husband’s belongings to see how much cash he could get. Traders offer $35 for all of them. Thomas agreed, then noticed that he had bought Noemi a silver mirror, and when he handed it to her that night, he said, “If I look like you, I think I’ll stare at myself every chance I get. “
This confuses Noemi as she exclaims “You’re not going to marry me, you’re not going to love me, but you’re going to buy me presents.” Thomas explained that he did it out of kindness rather than love,” If I could give you something that would make you happy and protected, I see no sin in it.” She replied hastily, “That’s love. It loves you back.”
Thomas seemed to know what was about to happen and started to look nervous. Noemi knelt before him and started kissing him. It seems like their relationship could develop into something good, but there’s a slight annoyance in the back of everyone’s head that something is wrong, or that Noemi’s second lover might die.
