‘Scary’: BBC pundits list Tottenham midfielder’s defence during Leicester City defeat

Yesterday, BBC pundit Dion Dublin criticised Tottenham midfielder Moussa Sissoko’s role in Leicester City’s second goal.
Jamie Vardy shook off the Frenchman and doubled Leicester’s lead with a header against Toby Alderweireld.
Speaking of Day 2 of the game, Dublin stressed that Sissoko needs to do better before key goals are achieved.
According to Dublin, he got Vardy on the wrong side and never recovered.

“I have to single out Sissoko,” Dublin said. “Look at Sissoko here. He should go into a more defensive position. He thinks there is no danger, but you don’t think so.
“You think, ‘Right, just in case, where should I go?’ He didn’t, it was too late, Vardy was very lucky to have his own goal. The defense was terrible.”
Sissoko has been outstanding for Tottenham this season, but Dublin is doing well in his assessment.
He didn’t foresee the danger fast enough and then when Vardy passed him he was caught by the ball.

At half-time, Serge Aurier kicked off the game with an unnecessary foul on Wesley Fofana, with Vardy hitting the penalty.
Then Sissoko’s poor defence helped Mourinho’s side through a difficult afternoon.
They’ll have to cheer up for their midweek EFL Cup tie with Stoke City.
That game represented a real chance to win trophies, and that’s what Mourinho was brought to Tottenham in the end. Booking a spot for the semi-finals would be the perfect way to bounce back from a tough week.
