She worked with the seven-time world champion for almost six years, but who is Angela Cullen, How did she work with Lewis Hamilton?
Angela Cullen joins forces with Hamilton
Karen started working with Hamilton back in 2016 when he was “just” a three-time world champion.
Cullen was born in New Zealand from Hintsa Performance Company.
Founded by the late Dr. Aki Hintsa, the company provides high-performance coaching and services to athletes.
Dr Hintsa first worked with Hamilton during his F1 rookie season in 2007, when he was at McLaren.

Hamilton wore a helmet-mounted tribute at the weekend after the Finn died before the 2016 Abu Dhabi Grand Prix.
Cullen is in charge of Hamilton’s health and fitness this season.
When Hamilton’s car was in the garage, she would often show up next to his car, making sure everything was running before it ran.

What does Hamilton think of the Angela Cullen collaboration?
Hamilton has won 56 grands prix and four world championships since the partnership began in 2016.
The Briton, who will start 11th after a 10th place penalty at the Turkish Grand Prix, praised the impact Karen’s work has had on him.
“I’ve been lucky enough to work with a lot of people and she’s the hardest working single woman around me,” He explained in 2020.

“When you get into Formula 1, there is the whole concept of physiotherapists, but a lot of them, or some of them, are just coaches.
“They still have the title ‘physiotherapist’ – but a physio is a physio, and I’ve had a male coach over the years, but I’ve noticed that I always have different problems.
“Whatever it is, my coach will never be able to fix it.
“Angela did some work for me at home, so I spoke to her and asked her, ‘Would you like to hit the road with me?'”
“I hardly knew we would have the best partnership.”
