- Jagdeep is a veteran Indian actor and comedian best known for her role as “Soorma Bhopali” in the Bollywood movie “Sholay”.
- Jagdeep was born into a family of advocates in Datiya, Madhya Pradesh.
- Jagdeep’s father died when Jagdeep was a baby.
- After the death of his father and the division of India, his family wealth declined.
- After partition, his family moved to Mumbai in order to provide a better life for the children.
- She raised Jagdeep while working as a cook in an orphanage.
- Jagdeep didn’t like her mother going the extra mile for his tuition. So Jagdeep gave up his studies and started selling strange things like kites, soap and combs by the roadside in Mumbai to support his mother. He used to wear makeup around Rs. 1.50 work all day.
- Once, a film director spotted him on the road in Mumbai and asked him to play a child in the movie “Afsana”.
- His job is to applaud in a scene in the movie where Jagdeep gets Rs. 3 for it. Later, however, he packaged a dialogue in the film and the pay was doubled.

- Surprisingly, Jagdeep initially turned down the role of “Soorma Bhopali” in “Sholay.” However, the role went on to be the greatest success of his life.
- In 1988, Jagdeep directed a film called “Soorma Bhopali” which was inspired by his role in the Bollywood movie “Sholay”.
- He has since worked in many Bollywood films such as “Phir Wohi Raat” (1980), “Purana Mandir” (1984), “Andaz Apna Apna” (1994) and “3D Saamri” (1985) .
