About Alberto Valerio: Brazilian racing driver (1985-)
Alberto Valerio (Ipatinga, September 6, 1985) is a Brazilian racing driver.
Profession
Formula 3
Valerio competed in the Formula 3 Sudamericana Championship from 2003 to 2005, winning the category in his final year. Template: Ckarify In 2006, he moved to the UK Championship, where he finished 11th. In 2007 he moved to the Carlin Motorsport team and moved up to eighth in the championship.
Formula Renault
In 2004 and 2005 Valerio also participated in selected races in the Brazilian Formula Renault series. In 2006 and 2007 he entered a total of four races in the more prestigious Formula Renault 3.5 series.
GP2 series
In 2008, Valerio signed on for the Durango team in the GP2 series and the inaugural GP2 Asia series.
He replaced Trident Racing’s Giacomo Ricci in the second round of the 2008-09 season for his return to the GP2 Asia Series. But he himself was replaced by Frankie Provenzano in the third round.
In 2009 he returned to the GP2 series, but joined the Piquet GP line-up as Roldán Rodríguez’s teammate. Valerio took his first win at Silverstone as he dominated the race. He finished fifteenth in the championship.
Valerio moved to Coloni for the 2010 season, but was dropped by Álvaro Parente.
