Ajatashatru, also known as national flower, the son of Bimbesala.Ancient inscription in the government museum, Mathura calls him vaidehi putra Ajatashatru Kunika “The King of Ajata, the son of Wadehi.” Ajataka’s story can be found in Sanzang Buddhist and Jain Agamas. The records of Ajata’s birth are more or less similar in both traditions. According to Jainism, Ajataka was born of King Bimbisara and Queen Cherna. Buddhist tradition records that Ajataka was born in Vibisara and Sasala Devi. It is worth noting that in both traditions, both queens are called “Vaidehi”.
According to Jainism Nirvana Sutra, During her pregnancy, Queen Cherna had a strong desire to eat fried meat from her husband’s heart and drink liquor. At the same time, the very wise Prince Abhagumara, the son of King Bimbisara and Queen Nanda, blew up a wild fruit like a heart and gave it to the queen. The queen was very ashamed after eating it, for fear that the child would be unfavorable to the family when he grew up, so a few months after the child was born, the queen expelled him from the palace. . A rooster bit his little finger as he lay near the junkyard. Tower (cloth shoulders) and continue to eat from the same plate. After taking a small bite, he asked his mother Cherana, who was sitting in the same dining room, if she had ever seen a father as loving and caring as he was, and his mother told him about King Vibisara sucking Ajatase’s pinky finger. s story. It touched his heart and evoked his love for his father. He immediately picked up an axe and rushed to the prison, breaking all the chains himself to free his father. But when Bimbisara saw him coming with an axe in his hand, he thought, …So, he came to kill me. I better end my life with my own hands. he deleted it immediately Taraputa Get rid of drugs, close your eyes and sing “Kevli pannato Dhammam saranam pavajyami” (I converted to Keflin or omniscient Dharma) swallowed the poison and ended his life.
Ajatasha repented a lot, but to no avail.Ajataka then moved his palace to Champaign and made it the capital, as the previous palace reminded him of his grave mistakes.
Buddhist tradition
There are different accounts of the death of King Vibisara in Buddhist texts.
In one version, Ajataka does not allow anyone to meet Bhimbisara in his smoky cell, except Kosala Devi. Ajataka wanted to starve him to death, as Devadatta said: “Father cannot be killed by a weapon.” So Kosala Devi used to go to the cell with a small food package and was caught by the guards, she started hiding the food in her hair Later, caught again, she started hiding food in her golden slippers, caught again, she applied 4 layers of honey to her body licked by the king. When she was captured again, Ajataka forbade Gansara Devi from meeting the king.Seeing that the king was still alive, Ajataka ordered the barber to stab the king’s leg with a knife, then poured salt, hot oil, and fire Kayla Wood on him. When this is done, the king is dead.
In another version, King Ajataseth imprisoned King Bimbisara and tried to starve him to death. Kosala Devi brought food to King Bimbisara, but was found and stopped visiting him. Vipassara became weak, but he was comforted by looking at the mountain where the Buddha and his disciples lived. So King Ajataseya asked to cover the windows of his cell so that King Vipassara could not see the mountain. One day, the Buddha visited the city, and Vipassara could see him and his disciples through the hole in his door. Because Vipassara saw the Buddha and his disciples, he was comforted and continued to live. Upon learning of this, King Ajatasahara ordered that Sahabara’s feet be stripped off. After speaking, King Vibisara could not move, and lay on the bed getting weaker and weaker.

Ajatase asked, “Where are you now?” The prince replied, “I’m playing with the puppy.” King Ajatase invited the prince to dinner. The prince arrived, but did not want to eat. King Ajatasa asked, “Why don’t you want to eat?” The prince said, “If you let me and my puppy eat, I will eat it.” King Ajatasa said, “As you wish.” So the prince took After the meal, I also brought food to the dog.
King Ajatasat told his mother, ‘I have done a difficult thing. Why do I say that? I am a king and I eat with my dog because I love my son. The mother said: ‘It wasn’t difficult. Why do I say that? Some people eat dog meat, what’s so strange about giving it to dogs? Did you know your father did difficult things? Ajatashi asked, “What’s so difficult?” The mother said, “When you were young, your fingers were injured. You cannot sleep because of the pain. Your father holds you on his lap and sucks your fingers. Your father’s body is soft, so you can sleep well. Your wound is oozing pus from the warmth of his mouth. Your father felt that spitting up the pus would aggravate your pain, so he swallowed the pus. Your father did such a hard thing for you. Please release him.
When the World Honored Ajata heard this, he remained silent. Kosala Devi thought he had agreed to release his father, so the palace released the news. Everywhere in the city, I heard that Sapo Su was going to be released from prison, and they were all overjoyed to be imprisoned. ‘King Bimbisara will be released! When Viva Bharata heard this, he thought to himself: ‘My son is evil, do not pity me. I don’t know what else he would do to hurt me. Thinking of this, he committed suicide in front of the bed. (from the law)
