His debuts in Tests, ODIs and T20Is were in 2013, 2015 and 2016 respectively, but he has just 50 appearances All in all, until recently, he’s shown flashes of ball and bat.

Ashton Agar to be key Australian asset for T20 World Cup
Agar didn’t make much of a splash in the first two games, but he put up staggering numbers 6/30 won the best player award In the third game, impressive in the last two encounters.

Agar will never be a huge turner, but he has shown enough cunning and control that if he can make such an impact in New Zealand, he will be a big asset for captain Aaron Finch in the World Cup subcontinent.
Rotation is crucial in the game, and most teams are likely to pitch slowly from one end.
With seven months to go, there is still a lot of international cricket to play and it is planned to be done before the game arrives.
However, Agar’s name has been written into Australia’s 11th World Cup following the game against the Blackcaps.
If he can replicate his recent form and the likes of Glenn Maxwell, Finch and David Warner firing at bats, the Australians will feel they have a chance to claim the West Indies crown.
