Chiba Akio (γ‘γ°γγγ or Chiba Akisheng, Chiba AkioJanuary 29, 1943 – September 13, 1984) was a Japanese manga artist.
early life
On January 29, 1943, Chiba was born in Shenyang, Manchukuo (now Liaoning Province). His father worked in a paper mill in China. Chiba has two brothers, Chiba Tetsuya and Chiba Shigeru.
After the Sino-Japanese War, the Chiba family lived in the attic of an acquaintance of their father until they figured out a way to return to Japan.
Profession
Chiba is known for publishing his work in Shonen and Girls magazines.Chiba debuted in 1967 with a manga Sabu to Chibi When serving as an assistant to his brother Tetsuya. In 1977, he won the 22nd Shogakukan Manga Award for “Youth” team leader and play ball.

On September 13, 1984, Chiba committed suicide due to problems related to bipolar disorder. Chiba is 41 years old.
