U2, Beyonce, Usher, Shakira and more sing for Obama

U2, Beyonce, Bruce Springsteen, Shakira, Usher, Mary J. Blinge, Sheryl Crow, and Steve Wonder are schedule to preform for Obama‘s inauguration ceremony. Stars such as Denzel Washington, Queen Latifa and Jamie Foxx will be present at the event.

Only Obama can have an inauguration event like this with the ton of money he raised during his campaign. The “We Are One: The Obama Inagural Celebration at the Lincoln Memorial” will start at 7:00 p.m. east time an HBO will broadcast the event exclusively for free to cable and satellite subscribers.

The theme is Obama’s comparison with others presidents that have been elected in bad times. Producer of the event George Stephens Jr. said to Reuters, “It’s not a celebration of victory; it’s about the country coming together for the future we’re going to face. There’s a sense of history about it. Much of the music will be in the context of that history. The Lincoln Memorial is a kind of sacred site.”

Jennifer Lopez and Marc Anthony according to yesterday’s Perez Hilton post are schedule to be part of the event and were accused of opportunist. Perez mentioned that  ”some high-profile Latino Dems are Not pleased.” Now the question would be what hight-profile latinos are those. The high-profile Latino couple did not supported Obama until he won which makes them look as fake.

According to Perez JLo wanted Obama to call her himself to endorse him openly. The attitude Jennifer Lopez had about endorsing Obama is a bit of a Diva. A source of Perez mentioned that they didn’t even give money to the campaign or to the event.
